The Holy Bible says:
To every- thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: [Ecc 3:1-8]
Our season is changing:
For two decades, Diane and I have dedicated much of our lives to the rescue aid, boarding and rehabilitation of abused or injured dogs. Over this long time, wonderful relationships with dog owners and their pets have grown to unbelievable levels. We pray, you’ve noticed our love for God’s creatures is as obvious as our belief and love for our Lord Jesus.
The Bible states –
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength”.’ [Mark 12:30]
A new season has come for us and Longshot Farms, now, after 20 years, we will be retiring from the fast paced days, sleepless nights and never ending quest to save all the dogs. Our calling has always been honoring our Lord and His Kingdom. We have successfully mingled our strong faith with helping dogs in need. Nearly every day our facebook posts and emails contain words of God’s love and biblical teachings. Our business cards contain bible verses and our farm property has signs erected reminding visitors of how much God loves them. The end result has not been as fruitful as we hoped in furthering the business of our Father in Heaven. Our purpose under Heaven is to win souls to Christ through various mission work in whatever parts of the world God leads us.
We ask that you pray for us in this time of change and new season in our lives. Pray that our work might glorify God in every way and that our actions and words may be pleasing in His sight.
Effective April 1st, 2018
Longshot Farms will not accept any new boarding or training requests. All existing boarding/training obligations will be honored. If you know that we have confirmed your boarding dates, we will keep you on the schedule. If you wish to reschedule at another facility, please advise us and we’ll remove your reservation including a full refund of any monies paid.
This has been a more difficult decision then you can imagine. Of course we’re saddened that we won’t be spending time with your lovable pets but we shall always cherish having your wonderful friendship. We are also aware of the difficulty in finding a trusting boarding facility. I pray you are happily successful in that search.
In closing I wish to let you know that we love each of you and your dogs and will always be grateful for the love and dedication you have extended to us.
